phishIf you’re a Phish Head, and if you’re a Phish fan, then you know what I mean, there is something you need to know about the group’s 2015 touring schedule. The group recently announced that after their summer tour, which begins in July and ends in August, there will be no fall tour. And as you probably already know, tickets for this superstar group are in high demand when they do two tours a year, so can you image how hard the tickets will be to score this year?

Why Phish Heads are so Loyal to Their Band?

When super group Phish announced their summer tour, which includes the traditional three day festival wrap up, tickets instantly began flying out the door. Phish Heads, who are named so because their band so closely resembles The Grateful Dead, whose fans are called Dead Heads, are serious about seeing their band play live. But since the bands touring season has been cut short this year, those fans will have to act quickly to get seats to see the band. In fact, tickets to the Magnaball, the three day festival that ends the tour, are already sold out in most places. As of this writing, we only have thirty seats to the three festival left.

Phish Defined

Phish’s music, much like the Dead’s, is an inspiring mash of progressive rock, hard rock, rock, blues, jazz, folk and funk. And just like the 60s rock band, they are known for their extended jams and musical improvisation. In fact, Rolling Stones Magazine said that Phish has helped to “spawn a new wave of bands that are oriented around group improvisation and super-extended grooves.”

A Phish Concert is Like No Other

Fans love seeing the band live because they never truly know to expect. The band makes an effort to include the audience in the show, and that makes for a more personal experience for fans. During some shows, the bands does what’s called the Big Ball Jam where each band member throws a big beach ball into the audience. Then, the band members watch the audience, and each time the ball is hit, they play a note. Pretty soon the audience realizes that they are ones creating the tune that’s filling the theatre.  The band also keeps up the fun atmosphere by doing things like their Rotation Jams. In the middle of a show, band members will switch instruments with their fellow band member to the left of them. Obviously when the band is playing instruments that they’re not the best at, things can get interesting.

The Phish 2015 Summer Tour

Just like the bands of the 60s that had huge followings of fans, Phish doesn’t get much radio play time. And that’s just fine with their fans, who would hate to compete for the limited tickets there are when the band tours. And unfortunately, because of this year’s short schedule, there aren’t many tickets left to the Magnaball. In fact, as of this writing, we only have thirty tickets left to the Magnaball, but keep in mind that our offering change all the time, so be sure to check back with us, as we sometimes get more as the date gets closer.”

Check to See if There are any Remaining Magnaball Tickets Left!

As for the rest of the tour, there are more than thirty tickets left, but they are definitely going fast. Phish will kick off their Summer 2015 tour on July 21 and 22 by playing at the Les Schwab Amphitheatre in Bend, OR, followed by two-night stands in Atlanta, GA, East Troy, WI, Philadelphia, PA and Columbia, MD. Then the tour ends, as all Phish tours do, with a three-day Magnaball. That will take place at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Co August 21-23.
