About the Stevie Nicks Concert Tour

When asked why she was embarking on a solo tour, especially after just coming off of a tour with Fleetwood Mac, Nicks said, “”I just woke up one morning and said, I have two years o before Fleetwood Mac comes knocking on my door. Why would I want to sit around and do nothing?” So she teamed up with The Pretenders and scheduled a tour to help promote her new album. Coincidentally, Chrissie Hynde, the lead singer for The Pretenders, released a solo album titled “Stockholm”at the same time of Nick’s newest release. The Pretenders haven’t released a new album since 2008.

Stevie Nicks Appearance on Bon Iver’s Newest Release

In an unrelated news story, Bon Iver recently released his newest single and fans across social media instantly recognized Stevie Nicks singing “Wild Heart” on it. There was a lot of confusion because the star’s name is nowhere to be found in the credits or on the linear notes. According to Just Vernon, Nicks asked that she not be listed on the album, and the band respected her decision. The song she is heard singing was recorded backstage in the 1980’s before one of her concerts. She spontaneously broke out into song, with someone offstage harmonizing with her on the song, and someone recorded it.  Vernon says it’s the “best piece of music.” Apparently, Stevie Nicks was fine with the band using the sample in their song, but didn’t want to have to answer a bunch of questions about them working together, because they never did.
