"Yeah, Anvil can still shred like it's the 1980s, but the fact that they haven't grown up since then is glaringly apparent on 'Hope In Hell.'" Watching "Anvil! The Story Of Anvil," the documentary that catapulted the titular Canadian metal act back into the limelight after decades of playing tiny gigs was essentially like watching a reality TV version of "This Is Spinal Tap." You were never quite sure whether the guys in the band were in on the joke...

Sound: This CD sounds like a good old 80s rock n roll album. With guitars guitars that sound sharp and thick and drums that sound hard and the bass is pounding. Its just one good riff after another. Definitely one of the best CDs of 2011. Hard rock riffs with shredding solos. The only indecent thing about "Juggernaut" is the vocals. They just kind of seem repeated and that he needs to scream. But overall pretty good. // 9 Lyrics and Singing: The lyrics have a good story to it...

You can't keep a good man down, or a good metal band. Long suffering, but significant, beat down by managers, promoters, and labels, but never defeated, Canada's Anvil continues on. Juggernaut of Justice is their fourteenth album, now on The End Records Label. Coming off the acclaim and resurrection that the movie Anvil: The Story of Anvil, one would expect either the best from the band or simply a mediocre offering that ride the crest of success...

If you are into metal, chances are you've seen their performance at Heavy MTL last year and the 2008 documentary Anvil! The Story of Anvil, about 30 years of everlasting heaviosity. However, even if the Big Four often cite the Canadian trio as a huge influence, were you really waiting impatiently to listen to their 14th studio album (recorded at Dave Grohl's Studio 606)? That being said, you guys have to know that Juggernaut of Justice is actually a quite fine, classic heavy metal recording...

3/5 This may be Canadian thrashers Anvil's 14th album, but it's their first since the 2008 documentary Anvil! The Story of Anvil introduced them to the mainstream after decades of mostly unrewarded toil. Recognizing this, Anvil come out swinging; tracks like "When All Hell Breaks Loose," "Turn It Up" "Running," and "Fukeneh!" are invigoratingly thrashy tracks that radiate hunger and fire--even if Steve "Lips" Kudlow's lyrical skills haven't matured appreciably since his "Metal on Metal" days...

"Overall, I like this disc. It's fun classic metal even when the lyrics get dopey (which is often). " Like most metalheads I know, I'd made plans to see "Anvil! The Story of Anvil" when it came to my area. I'm a sucker for rock-docs and VH-1's "Behind The Music," and figured that if nothing else, the film would be a kind of real life take on "Spinal Tap...

In 1981 Anvil released their first record Hard 'N' Heavy independently. Since 1981, much has changed in the musical landscape; at least, this is what we'd like to think. However, the truth be told, not much has really changed. Music trends, like the delicate labyrinth of petals in a carnation, always seem to circle around and fold in on themselves. Yesterday's embarrassing "cock rock" is today's ultra indie-chic sensation...
