Deicide Concert Tickets

The band was originally called Amon, and recorded two demos under this name, which were later released on CD as "Amon: Feasting The Beast". They changed the name to Deicide in late 1989, just prior to the recording of the self-titled debut. This was done at the insistence of their then-label, Roadrunner Records, because there was a song called "'Amon' Belongs to 'Them'" on the King Diamond album, "Conspiracy". Deicide - In The Minds of Evil Wednesday, December 11, 2013 Tags: Century Media Records > Deicide Released Nov. 25th via Century Media Records Just as an experiment I wrote this intro paragraph several months in advance, right after it was announced that Deicide was recording a new album...

Deicide are back with a new pounding tribute to everything that hates Christ, appropriately titled In the Minds of Evil. Their style hasn't changed much since the eighties, so don't expect a lot of new approaches on their latest release, but, what you can expect some solid death metal songwriting that, while not groundbreaking, makes for some awesome headbanging... well, at least it's first half...

For those who have followed the band's initial footsteps, or relished the chance to own a vinyl copy of the group's self-titled debut, Deicide are seen as the genre's for-runners. Arguably, the quality levels have dipped over the years, but for the most part Deicide represent exactly what the general metal community expects in the death metal genre...

23 years is an impressive lifespan for a death metal band. Most would disband or suffer some major line-up change resulting in a hollow image of who they once were, their magnum opus having already been recorded. Then there is Deicide, a band that has survived on blasphemy alone. After consistently writing some of the best death metal over the last two decades, the band's new release, , maintains the same quality of profane sacrilege that fans come to expect from Deicide...

Sound: Deicide's position as one of the most notorious death metal bands on the planet was not so much lost as sort of forgotten since the late 1990's. However, 2006's comeback 'The Stench Of Redemption' was a true return to form, wowing fans and critics alike. The first line-up change in Deicide history (the departure of the Hoffman brothers on guitar) really lit a fire under their asses, and the result was absolutely great...

Sound: When I first listened through this album I nearly cried. This album contains some of the catchiest Death Metal themes in the history of the genre. Although sometimes all you may hear is 'blah badee blah blah blah' being grunted at 100mph, it's said in such a catchy way that you just don't care. The sound is very raw, which is great for a death metal album, and the production is great, though doesn't sound so polished to annoy death metal fans...

Like the rest of the once-mighty Florida death metal bands of the 90s, Deicide have seen the music they helped to found gain a worldwide footing while the focus shifted away from the original concept. Fortunately, the quartet have upped their game recently, applying a ferocity and inventiveness to the songs that many bands half their age lack...

Deicide To Hell with God 3/5 Listen To: Conviction Skip It: Into the Darkness you go Deicide are a band notorious for many things. Firstly, for they have become known for their satanic and vehemently anti Christian lyrics; but even more so in the last few years for their show cancellations for a myriad of reasons (see: band fights, religious protesting). Regardless of their infamy, Deicide have returned after a 3-year hiatus with a new album aptly titled: To Hell With God...

In the past, Deicide havenâ??t really thrilled me. More often than not, their sound is muddy, incoherent and overrated. Clearly, the moons mustâ??ve aligned and the rituals gone according to plan, because To Hell with God is quite possibly their finest work. Shifting away from the orthodox death metal rules, Deicide have injected more groove and thrash into their cacophony of chaos...
