Sound: Finger Eleven's latest album, "Life Turns Electric", came out in October 2010. Despite it being released many months ago, there has not been much talk about it. While one might think after their hit single from their previous album, "Paralyzer", Finger Eleven had big things coming their way on "Life Turns Electric", but things did not turn out that way. The biggest difference I notice between "Life Turns Electric" and their previous album "Them Vs. You Vs...

Sound: Good or bad, Finger Eleven is an extremely radio-friendly band that has found a comfortable niche in the world of FM airplay. With an equal blend of accessible ballads and danceable rock songs, the band's 5th studio release "Them Vs. You Vs. Me" is a respectable offering for the most part. For fans of bands that bring a bit more of an edge to their music, however, Finger Eleven will likely leave them a bit disappointed...

Finger Eleven is back with their 6th album Life Turns Electric and first since 2007?s Them vs. You vs. Me. Will the band that brought us "One Thing" and "Paralyzer" make it worth the wait? It's no secret that Finger Eleven has changed their sound since their debut album. That's not a good OR a bad thing; it's life, and nearly every band does that. Bands aren't as hungry or aggressive as they were starting out, and I think Finger Eleven is one of those bands...

Letâ??s not lie to ourselves, modern rock is formulaic. Essentially, it means youâ??ll probably never hear a terrible song (you might not like it, but youâ??ll always hate something else more), but itâ??s just always going to be a cut above average, which pretty much sums up Finger Elevenâ??s Life Turns Electric...

Finger Eleven is a band that has really only ever been known for two songs; "One Thing" and "Paralyzer." Yes, their previous album, Them vs. You vs. Me, was promoted to death via the radio, the internet and Guitar Centers filled with unsold music tablature for the songs, but I don't know anyone who actually bought it...

Listen To: Whatever it doesn't matter Skip It: Again, irrelevant I could have written this Finger Eleven review ten years ago. I appreciate consistency in a band, but Finger Eleven have become predictable. Fans of straight forward rock and roll are going to like this album. There will be hit singles. They might even play at the Juno's. But don't be mistaken there is nothing new being offered up on Life Turns Electric. This is pretty much part two of their last cd...

Summary: In one swift movement, Finger Eleven ditches everything that once made them (sort of) unique. 7 of 7 thought this review was well written There was a time when Finger Eleven stood out amongst the other mainstream dribble that plagued the rock scene. Their debut was anything but groundbreaking, but, hell, it at least knew how to shake things up...

I still remember them as Burlington, Ontario's Rainbow Butt Monkeys. Good times. The band known as Finger Eleven are now on their third disc of quirky alternative riffs, hard rock and heavy beats, though it seems they're still struggling to find the hooks that have already propelled labelmates like Creed, Evanescence and even Drowning Pool to record-selling success...

'Paralyzer' by Finger Eleven is, in some ways, a bit naff. The slick 'slip' sound effects that are splattered all over the verses are a bit boyband (you can all too easily imagine some synchronised dance move accompanying that synth.) It's also too predictable; you can time almost to the second when the music's about to cut out and give the vocals extra emphasis, and every time a lyric is about to be recycled for the trail-off ending...
