Foxygen's new album We are the 21st Century Ambassadors of Peace and Magic is upbeat, quirky and unexpected. The title misleads you into thinking that the music will be modern and futuristic in their mention of the "21st Century", but is more true to the century by borrowing inspiration from past music styles. It feels like a vintage photograph, frayed at the edges, and fading. But the faces are still clear, and they're smiling back at you, strangers...
