Red Hot Chili Peppers Reviews

Avg. Customer Rating:
5.0 (based on 9 reviews)

I'm With You, an Australian tour edition and tenth album released by the iconic Red Hot Chili Peppers will meet expectations. The album is really easy listening and will definitely satisfy fans who have been waiting for this album since Stadium Arcadium was released in 2006. "Monarchy of Roses" kicks off the album. It'll make you just want to get up and dance, as they want you to...

Sound: Crank up the bass, man! Chalk full of funk and layered with drums that bounce back and forth is The Uplift Mofo Party Plan, 3rd album of L.A. chief musical export, the Red Hot Chili Peppers...

Sound: Before buying this album I had listened to Californication, By the Way and Greatest Hits, but I knew this was one of their earlier albums. I didn't enjoy By the Way quite so much because of it's soft-rock sound, so I thought I would probably enjoy an earlier album. I was not disappointed. What Hits!? is a wonderful album of all the Chili's best-loved funk songs from the eighties and early nineties...

Sound: I'm a big fan of the Red Hot Chili Peppers and this live CD cemented my faith in the band. The instrumental skills of Flea, Chad, and John are absolutely brilliant in this album. The only thing that lets this CD down a bit is the vocal skills. Anthony Kiedis is a good vocalist however during a live set you can tell he gets tired out and his voice begins to get a bit strained. Despite this it is still a huge joy to listen to...

Sound: If you ever wanted a big indication of what Punk-Funk was, then, this is the perfect album. Problem is the album's production is pretty dull, most songs lose lot of rumble and power and are very 'tinny'. The playing is pretty fast and hyper, except for a few tracks, and most riffs and licks are mainly based on grooves and jams rather than melodies. Flea's bass style shines through on this album (especially on tracks like "Get Up And Jump" and the solo in "Out In L...

Sound: I enjoy if not all, most of the Red Hot Chili Pepper's work. It can be a mixture of rock and funk creating the perfect sound. The sound quality of the album is loud, clear and effective. Each song has its own defying sound. Overall the sound of the album is good. // 8 Lyrics and Singing: There are many debates about what the lyrics to the single Californication are about. But no matter what people think they are about, they remain outstanding lyrics...

Sound: The Red Hot Chili Peppers basically invented their own brand of funk/rock music. Their previous record, 1988's "Mother's Milk", marked the debut of guitarist John Frusciante and drummer Chad Smith. While that was a faster, less mature record, this album marks their comeuppance as one of the world's largest rock bands. Their sound on the album blends sexy funk rock with laid back, mellow tunes such as "Under The Bridge" and "Breaking The Girl"...

Sound: The Red Hot Chili Peppers have probably become one of the most influential bands for the last decade or so, and this CD shows you how they've done it. John Frusciante is a wonderful guitarist with a gift for creating catchy hooks and riffs, I mean, just look at "Californication" and "Under The Bridge." If you can't recognize those songs right off the bat, then you must have been living under a rock for the last couple of years. And I cannot heap enough praise onto their bassist, Flea...
