The Bouncing Souls Concert Tickets

The Bouncing Souls are a punk band, formed in 1987. They are originally from New Brunswick, New Jersey. By the time they were recognized by the national punk scene, they had reignited a "pogo" element to New Jersey punk rock by playing fast light-hearted songs, a model followed by various other local bands (e. The Bouncing Souls Reviews

25 years in, the Bouncing Souls remain impressively cognizant of the scene around them. A lot of people in old punk bands ? and a lot of old punks in general ? can't be bothered to listen to new music. Certainly not everyone is like this, but take one quick look around the internet, and if you look in the right place you'll find an old punk bemoaning, likely in all caps, the bands of today...

With a blast of "whoa-ohs," this long-anticipated split EP of two amazing pop-punk bands is off to the races. The offerings here are two original songs and two cover tunes (each band cover the other). The Bouncing Souls' original, "Blackout," is classic Souls, positive lyrics pouring out over that patented, boppy, bass-heavy Souls sound...

When the Bouncing Souls announced they were finally re-releasing The Green Ball Crew E.P., their self-released, self-maligned debut, it seemed like a joke. The preorder went up "with some reluctance and resistance" over at Chunksaah. Sure, some fans have been clamoring for a repress for years (this guy included), but it was kind of understood that the band got much, much better after this record. Still, for diehards, this should have been a great nostalgic lark...

Release Date: June 12th, 2012 Rise Records has been signing a lot of punk/pop-punk bands recently, New Jersey punk band The Bouncing Souls being one of them. I actually had been meaning to listen to them ever since Comet was released back in June of 2012. In August, I found their debut record hidden in a local Best Buy, and decided to blindly check it out. Well, I was quite impressed with what I heard, and I was not disappointed in the slightest...

Sound: The Bouncing Souls continues their style of music seen in previous years. However, some of the songs, such as "Static", do not sound like Greg is singing them. I'm not saying they are bad, I'm just saying they sound different. I'm usually a fan of just straight up punk, but The Bouncing Souls music was one of the few exceptions. Their melodic riffs and singing resembles the days of "Anchors Aweigh"...

As a Bouncing Souls superfan, I will go to bat for just about anything the band has released up this point. Those first seven records are essential, life-affirming listening for punk fans. Heck, "Kid" was my high school yearbook quote. But even I can admit that the band has had somewhat of a creative backslide as of late...

"Trouble on my mind, getting lost in these fast times, I'm falling behind," laments Bouncing Souls frontman Greg Attonito on "Fast Times," the second track on the 23-year old band's ninth album (and Rise debut), Comet. Unfortunately, for the first time, the lyric rings all too true. Throughout their career, the Souls have been a lightning rod of youthful enthusiasm, quick to write songs about their BMX crews ("East Side Mags"), self-boosting recreation odes ("Ole...

When it was announced earlier this year, the For All the Unheard tour seemed like a dream come true for any long-time Bouncing Souls fan. Not only would the band be playing four consecutive nights in select cities--they would be playing each of their eight albums in chronological order over those four nights. They would even be playing at very small venues that would allow fans the chance to mingle with the headliners and the excellent bands tabbed as support acts...

I was excited for Night 3 of the sold-out For All the Unheard Tour in Chicago because I think that the Bouncing Souls' How I Spent My Summer Vacation (2001) and Anchors Aweigh (2003) are by far the two best and most consistent of their catalog. Overall, the show was very good. The songs sounded very good and tight; the crowd was very into it; and the band seemed to be having a great time...
