Release Date: February 26 2002 Underoath is one of my all time favorite bands, but I haven't heard their entire discography. Does that make me any less of a fan? I don't think so. I own almost all of their records, except for their first few albums with founding member Dallas Taylor. He was the vocalist for the band in its early years, and left before their big "break," which was in 2004 with the release of They're Only Chasing Safety, featuring vocalist Spencer Chamberlain, who is honestly...

When a friend and I arrived at the Palladium in Worcester, Mass. on an unseasonably warm Sunday night, we were informed that the long-awaited return to New England by reunited post-hardcore/indie rockers As Cities Burn would be even longer-awaited: The band weren't actually playing this date of the farewell tour veteran metalcore act Underoath were kicking off tonight. Major, major bummer...

Release Date: November 6th, 2012 A few months ago, Florida post-hardcore / metalcore band Underoath announced their breakup; it was quite devastating, but a part of me wasn't too surprised. I wasn't surprised, because they haven't been doing a lot since last album Disambiguation was released in 2010...

Sound: Underoath is band that advances in each CD. This CD is nicely balanced in its combination of screamed lyrics and sung lyrics. No two songs are the same which keeps you guessing what around on the next track. // 10 Lyrics and Singing: Underoath's lyrics are very deep, you can tell that they dont just pay some guy to make it sound like theyre some pain driven band...

Sound: This album from Underoath is probably their second best album (probably only topped by The Changing of Times). I must say, I started off from listening to Underoath through "They're Only Chasing Safety" and grew attached to the band. So I decided to see what all the talk about "old Underoath" was about. So I came upon Act of Depression, Cries of the Past, and The Changing of Times. I must say, this album is intense...

Sound: The album starts off one the first song with what sounds like a crazy laugh, and then gets all heavy, maybe to kind of introduce you to them, but sound quality of the CD is great, although guitars in most of the songs can be a bit too basic and sometimes repetitive. But it still gives you that heavy feel that makes you want to keep listening. They also have a keyboardist who is an amateur but isnt bad, but he dosen't get a lot of time on this album at all, unlike the upcoming albums...

Sound: When I heard Lost in the Sound of Separation was coming out, I decided that I would try and get my hands on it as soon as I could. I pre-ordered it, but undisciplined as I was, I listened to it as soon as it was released on Myspace. Let me tell you, I was not disappointed - this album is mind-blowing. It isn't quite as heavy as it was rumored to be, but it was definitely just as dark as they said it would be...

Sound: The first thing you will recognize about this album is that it takes us back to the old days, old Underoath. It breaks away from the melodic, catchy songs on You're Only Chasing Safety to some heavy stuff that ultimately shaped Underoath from the beginning. This album is much heavier without a doubt, and maybe Underoath will even lose fans over this...

Sound: Amazon.com WidgetsØ Disambiguation is an impressive album from the opening track, In Division. Underoath's sound is known to the band's fans, but for those of you who don't know, Often genrelised as metalcore, Underoath is so much more, proving themselves to be capable of writing not only powerful metalcore, but also good rock songs. Facing the departure of original member--drummer Aaron Gillespie--cannot have been easy...
