Don’t Miss the Party – Zac Brown and Blues Traveler Kicking It Up a Notch Sunday

You never know what to expect when ZBB takes the stage, but you can bet that when they team up with fellow genre-benders, the Blues Traveler, the unexpected will be nothing short of spectacular. Zac Brown Band on Tour

The Hershey Zac Brown Band show is a short break away from the band’s summer touring schedule, which has rocked houses and raised roofs everywhere they’ve played. The band takes the stage and takes no hostages with their no-holds-barred style. The set lists range wildly over ZBB’s favored genres, from crossover country to blues to bluegrass to rock, pulling fans with them on a hard-partying all-night-long ride. One reviewer noted that you never know what to expect when ZBB takes the stage, but you can always expect to have a party. Sunday, they’ll team up with fellow rock rebels Blues Traveler, and Dixieland jazz artist Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue, to bring the party ethos to Hersheypark Stadium.

Blues Traveler

Blues Traveler seems totally different from ZBB on the face, but in reality, they’re mirror images of the quirky, genre-bending headliner band. Since their breakthrough hit “Runaround” in 1994, Blues Traveler has been surprising audiences by changing things up and throwing a wrench into conventional expectations. The band’s most popular joints feature bluegrass style harmonica and 80-style power guitar backing up twisty-turning lyrics that trip off the tongue and stick in the mind. The brilliance of Blues Traveler lies in their ability to meld biting, though-provoking lyrics with an easily digested beat and tune so that you absorb the message as you party along with the very danceable, singable music.

The bill for the Zac Brown Band concert at Hersheypark Stadium rounds out with Trombone Shorty, a Dixieland jazz artist with a decidedly funky, blues edge. Shorty and Orleans Avenue fit right in with the genre busting bill, playing a mix of blues, jazz and rock that will have you up out of your seat and rocking on the lawn.
