Train Concert Wrap-Up – Get Your Earworms Before the Album Release!

trainIn the soundtrack of the last 15 years, Train has probably scored more earworms than any other pop music band and they’re about to add a couple more entries to the list. All summer long, Train has been touring the U.S. to introduce and promote their upcoming release, “Bulletproof Picasso.” Judging from fan reaction, the two songs Train’s been playing from the new album are guaranteed to go into heavy rotation on the pop stations. Why wait until the release? There are still a few shows left in Train’s Bulletproof tour, which wraps up September 25 in NYC. We’ve got Train tickets for the LA, San Francisco and NYC shows right here.

Train Keeps a-Rolling

Train’s been laying down pop hits since the late ‘90s when their first really huge hit, “Meet Virginia” had every girl in town donning high heels to exercise as they hummed the catchy tune (c’mon, admit it, it’s playing in your head already!) The group, admirably fronted by vocalist Pat Monahan, has kept hitting that sweet spot of catchy tune and just-weird-enough-to-be-remembered lyrics with songs like “Drops of Jupiter,” “If It’s Love,” “Calling All Angels,” and the unbelievably infectious, “Hey, Soul Sister” (ain’t that Mister Mister on the radio, stereo, the way you…”) Ahem. Yes, earworm. You’re welcome.

Ain’t Nothing But a Party

The thing is, fans don’t show up at Train concerts JUST to sing along with their favorite songs – though they do that an awful lot. It’s because Pat Monahan turns every concert – even those at big, anonymous stadiums – into big house parties where everyone just loves everyone else. He bounces around the stage cheering the fans on, holding out his mike for them to fill in the most familiar lines and bopping offstage into the first few rows. He’s been known to grab cell phones from fans and turn them on himself as he poses with them for selfies – without missing a beat in his performance. And while it’s not unusual for performers to toss T-shirts out into the crowd, only Monahan would have the entire band sign the shirt he’s wearing – while they play! – only to peel it off and toss it out into the front rows.

You can catch Train at just five more shows before the 2014 Train summer tour wraps up. Don’t miss out on the fun. Pop on over to our concert listings and check out the available tickets for the remaining Train shows. We’ve even got a few seats in the front sections. Who knows? You may go home with a lucky T-shirt!
