We’re Going Out on a Limb and Predicting That Don Henley Will Be Next Big Thing in Music

donAt Concertbank, we have just made an announcement that has many people shaking their heads in bewilderment, but if it turns out to be correct, it could put us on the map for musical insight. We are predicting that Don Henley, the former Eagle’s band member and solo artist, will be the next big thing in the musical world. Henley, who is now sixty-eight years old, is about to release a new album that Bob Lefsetz calls “The Eagles album you’ve been waiting for.”

Times are Changing, and the Audiences Decides Now

It used to be that the recording studios got to decide what music America listens to, but it’s just that way anymore. Today’s musical success is defined by how the audience receives the artist and what kind of demand there is for the music. Our prediction is young and old music lovers will fall in love with Don Henley when they hear his poignant, latest release.”

In fact, Steve Barnett, who was responsible for catapulting New Direction to stardom, even after 11 out of 12 people from Columbia Records said no them, also believes that Henley is onto something. In fact, he claims that he is going to make sure Henley has another big hit.  Barnett also guided Sam Smith’s career, and now musicians clamor to work with him because he has a knack for spotting something special in a singer before the rest of the world sees it.

Henley’s Career With The Eagles

Henley was the co-lead vocalist and drummer for the Eagles from 1971 through 1980 when the bank broke up. Then he rejoined the band in 1994 when they got back together. He sang lead vocals on hits like One of These Nights, Witchy Woman, Desperado, Best of My Love, The Long Run, Life in the Fast Lane, and Hotel California. The Eagles become the biggest selling band in American history, and have sold 150 million records worldwide, won 6 Grammys, had 17 Top 40 singles, 5 number one singles, and six number one albums. They were finally inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1988.

Henley’s Solo Career

Don Henley has done spectacularly in his solo career as well. In all, he has sold 10 million albums worldwide, won 2 Grammy Awards, had 8 Top 40 singles, and won 5 MTV Video Music Awards. In 1982, Henley released his first solo album called Can’t Stand Still, and is known for his hits like The Last Worthless Evening, Dirty Laundry, Sunset Grill, Not Enough Love in the World, New York Minute, The End of Innocence, The Boys of Summer, All She Wants to Do is Dance, and The Heart of the Matter. He has released four studio albums, one live DVD, and two compilation albums. In 2008, Rolling Stones Magazine ranked him as the 87th greatest singer of all time.

Why We Think His Career is About to Explode—Again

If we are correct in our prediction and Don Henley once again becomes a major player in the music industry after the release of his new album, it will be the first time a ticket seller has predicted the rise of a star this far in advance. We are just floored that someone who is 68 years old could write lyrics that have the potential to change how the world interacts and will speak to the hearts of the young and the old. We feel that the world has been holding it’s collective breath and waiting for music like this for decades. It makes us feel alive, and our bet is that it will you, too. As soon as Henley announces his new solo tour dates we will make tickets available, but in the meantime, you can see him performing with The Eagles.
