The West Coast vocal quartet All-4-One delivers their second album And the Music Speaks. It is a collection of breezy treats. Shifting easily from R & B and doo-wop to lite rap and gospel, they even pull an ace Curtis Mayfield knockoff ("Colors of Love") out of their hats. If it's ear candy you crave, this packs more sweet, empty calories than a chocolate factory.

Its success was phenomenal -- it stayed at the top of the charts for 11 weeks and inspired a contemporary country cover by John Michael Montgomery. It's hard to top that sort of success, which may be the reason why their second record, And the Music Speaks, seemed to vanish upon its 1995 release...
