Aventura Concert Tickets

Aventura is a bachata music group from The Bronx, New York, United States. Aventura was formed in 1994 by Anthony Santos, Henry Santos, Lenny Santos, and Max Santos, three of whom are natives of The Bronx and one born in the Dominican Republic. Self-taught and determined, Aventura made their big break in 1999, with the hopes of breaking bachata music out from its traditional base and fusint it with modern popular sounds like hip hop and R&B. The Ney Yorican Bachata band Aventura produced a "Master" Bachata CD with some of the most exciting and romantic Bachata mixes of this century. "The Last" surpasses the wildest dreams of the most hopeless romantics. The first two songs on the album, "Dile Al Amor" (English: "Tell The Love") and "Por Un Segundo" (English: "For One Second") have already been huge hits for months on hundreds of Salsa and Bachata dance floors around the globe. In the first one Romeo gives advices to Cupid...

Generation Next, the debut album of the Washington Heights-based, Dominican Republic-born quartet Aventura, marks the beginning of a new era for Dominican pop music...

For their third album, Aventura truly mix up styles, from Dominican bachata and meringue to R&B;, pop, and hip-hop. While they want to appeal to the boy-band crowd (perhaps a little late for that, though), they certainly don't succumb to cookie-cutter syndrome on this disc. The arrangements are stripped-down, and often unusual, whether on the tortured "Hermanita" (about domestic violence) or the self-aggrandizing "Deja Vu...

Despite the title, with 2005's God's Project, Aventura continues to define their own destiny. In fact, with their widespread popularity and the outpouring of groups who mimic their distinctly New York-influenced bachata, they may be helping to define the genre, as well. Under the clever guise of a boy band lurks some genuine musicianship, particularly evident in Lenny and Mikey Santos...
