Boys Noize returns with a banging remix collection: Club Cheval get things started with a trademark punchy rework of "Excuse Me," an avalanche of musical excellence from the French quartet made up of Sam Tiba , Pelican Fly , MYD and Canblaster . Salva keeps the energy flowing with a high octane remix of "Push Em Up" before Ultramajic 's Aden aka Machinedrum delivers a bass-led, neon-streaked techno mix of "Inhale/Exhale...

Alex Ridha has spent most of the last year collaborating with Skrillex as Dog Blood, and he plays the kind of festivals that attract teenage Americans decked out in neon rave gear. These two factors don't make him a typical candidate for the FabricLive series, but here we are. In truth, Ridha is a DJ with deeper taste than his productions might suggest, and one who still keeps his ear to the underground...

Go Hard is the title of the new Boys Noize EP and in a two word title, they've managed to say just about everything you need to know about it. Go Hard, for a lack of better phrasing, goes hard. All five tracks, from opener "Excuse Me", to closer "Push Em Up", are thumping electro tracks that fit comfortably into Boys Noize filthy re-imagining of 90's house. Every song seems crafted with an eye firmly on those big festival slots...

Oi Oi Oi, the 2007 debut album by German DJ/producer Boys Noize (aka Alexander Ridha), summed up the club sounds of that year perfectly. Unfortunately, that heavy-metal-disco thing still comes across like 2007, and five years ago is never a good sound in dance music. To be fair, when an artist is as popular as Ridha, his fan base isn't too receptive to drastic reinvention, and as long as the gigs keep coming he doesn't have much motivation to move forward. If it isn't broke......

Boys Noize, aka Alex Ridha, has fast become one of the most popular names in dance since coming to the fore in the mid-00s. In addition to his first two well-received albums, Oi Oi Oi and Power, he has also gone on to act as remixer for artists as diverse as David Lynch, Depeche Mode and N.E.R.D whilst also acting as producer for Scissor Sisters and Santigold to name but a few. Now he's returned to crafting his own work with his third effort, Out Of The Black - a menacing electro LP...

Where to start with Boys Noize? He's released music on the hyper cool Kitsune, set up his own label, signing such talent as Strip Steve, released his own acclaimed 'Bugged Out!' mix and collaborated with DJ deity Erol Alkan. Add to that his sensational debut, which rubbed every one of Ed Banger's coke-smeared faces in the dirt, you could tentatively call Alex Ridha the best new talent in dance. He returns this year as the defending champion, but can he keep his throne...
