Dennis Edwards (born February 3, 1943) is an American soul and R&B singer, most noted for being one of Motown act The Temptations' lead singers. Edwards first joined the Temptations in 1968, replacing David Ruffin, and sang with the group until 1976, returning from 1980 to 1984 and 1987 to 1989. In the mid-1980s, he attempted a solo career, scoring a hit in 1984 with "Don't Look Any Further" (featuring Siedah Garrett). Don't Look Any Further is the first released solo album from Dennis Edwards, the sometime Temptations lead vocalist. Edwards first made a solo recording in 1977, but had nothing to show for it but an unreleased album. He returned stronger than ever, but then again left in the middle of the sessions for Back to Basics. For Don't Look Any Further, Edwards teamed with producer Dennis Lambert, who was behind the boards for 1983's Temptations effort Surface Thrills...
