Release Date: May 14 2013 It's been years since I've listened to Las Vegas post-hardcore-turned-hard-rock band Escape the Fate, honestly. I was a fan of them while Ronnie Radke was in the band, after awhile, I got tired of them, including Radke's constant "drama." I eventually stopped listening to the band, but I did hear the first record with vocalist Craig Mabbit. I don't remember too much about it, but I didn't really care for it, mainly because I wasn't into that kind of music...

Sound: Like previous Escape The Fate albums with vocalist Craig Mabbitt, they have taken the heavier metalcore take on music from the previous post-hardcore days of Radke era Escape The Fate. Although each album has line up changes it seems this current lineup have been able to produce a solid 4th record. Unlike previous release this album is very vocal driven...

Sound: Gaining the attention of Interscope Records apparently had everything to do with Escape The Fate's decision to embrace a heavier sound, the product of which you'll hear on the band's self-titled debut. The Las Vegas' quartet utilizes more guitar parts for a good chunk of the record, but there are the occasional moments where you could say it delves into your traditional emo category...

Sound: Ok, let's cut to the chase. Escape the Fate have had to go through a radical change. Losing a singer in Ronnie Radke with a unique voice and losing once guitarist was always going to mean the band wouldn't be able to make Dying Is Your Latest Fashion 2.0, which is the main criticism of this album from many people, especially fans of Radke and the more throaty screaming. Give Craig Mabbit some credit for coming in and doing a stellar job with his tuneful vocals and fearsome roar...

Sound: Escape the Fate displays outstanding musical skill and a all 'round great hardcore punk sound. After learning to scream from fellow hardcore punk rockers Underoath, they have the perfect combination of emo vocals and different pitched screams. From the first song to the last it keeps you pumped up and never seems to get dull. As a new band from Las Vegas, they made a huge mark on the emo-rock society with their first EP, There's No Sympathy For The Dead...

This past weekend at the world-renowned Sunset Strip Music Festival, Escape the Fate announced their next single to an eager audience. "Liars and Monsters" - contributed to by rock great John 5 (Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie) - was a bonus track on their eponymous album released late last year. The album was positively received from most critics, and the single is sure to be the same...

Hot out of the US hardcore scene, Escape The Fate have already established themselves as front-runners in the LA mix. With an ever growing fan-base and two full length studio albums already under their belt, they return again with their third LP release, 'Escape The Fate'. The album starts with an interesting piece of music that sounds more like a film score than an album opener...

It's amazing that Escape the Fate is still a band. Honestly, after the departure of Ronnie Radke, it looked as if the band was destined to fail. Enter Craig Mabbitt, formerly of Blessthefall, and the band seemed reinvigorated. However, with a new vocalist, there seemed a new attitude as well...

(Epitaph Records) After releasing the largest selling debut EP in Epitaph Records history (that's a big history!) with "There's No Sympathy For The Dead" Escape The Fate undoubtedly had a lot of pressure to follow up that success with something huge for their Epitaph debut. Well, let's just say they did and they didn't...
