Fat Joe Concert Tickets

Fat Joe (born Joseph Cartagena on August 19, 1970) is a American rapper of Puerto Rican and Cuban heritage. Born and brought up in the Bronx, Joe was popular in the large underground hip hop scene during the early and mid-1990s. During this period, Joe was affiliated with KRS-One — there are pictures online at KRS-One's Temple of Hiphop site showing the pair drawing graffiti ("bombing") together. Fat Joe Reviews

Fat Joe might be headed to the clink later today, but that didn't stop the veteran emcee from releasing his latest mixtape, The Darkside 3. Premiered by our friends at Rap Radar, the 10-track project features previously-released selections "Angels Say 2" and "Your Honor." Special guests include Action Bronson, Dre and Nick Shades, while production muscle is supplied by 9th Wonder, Cool & Dre, Diamond D, DJ Premier, ILLa, StreetRunner, Young Hype and Young Sap...

Almost two decades in the game along with ten solo albums released, and Joey Crack still represents the true essence of East Coast hardcore New York Hip-Hop to the fullest; and the Terror Squad leader keeps that same intensity on his newest record, The Darkside Vol. 1.Keeping to his roots, he stays in the realm of names like Just Blaze, Cool & Dre, DJ Premier, Streetrunner, and Scram Jones to keep your head nodding instead of dancing...

Time was when many critics considered Fat Joe da Gangsta to be the Jim Belushi of hip-hop, lesser talent to his Bronx "twin" Big Punisher. After 2004's smash single "Lean Back," he managed to push the light of his talents beyond Big Pun's shadow and became an international star. Thanks to industry consolidation, Fat Joe released "Me, Myself & I," his seventh album, on major-indie Caroline...

The elephant missing from the middle of this album is the big club banger and, as a result, no one's talking about the elephant or the room. The slimmer and less talented of the fat rappers (RIP Big Pun), Joey Crack has some of those aforementioned bank padders already in his back pocket, joints like Lean Back and Make It Rain. Producers like Dre (You Ain't Say Nothin' with Plies) and Swizz Beatz (on Drop with Jackie Rubio) give it a shot, but this is ringtone rap at best.

Mediocre 40-year old Bronx rapper Fat Joe scrambles to put out his third album in as many years, a frantic attempt to erase years of blatant wackness and repaint his image as the big bad Mafioso of yore. If the insertion of numerous gunshots, crack lyrics and drum rolls has any say in the matter, then I'd be convinced by the 18-second mark of the intro...

Fat Joe's Beat Novacane may be the hottest new mainstream hip-hop track I've heard this year, containing echoes of Method Man's incendiary Release Yo Delf, and would be my number one psych-up/warm-up song if I still played ball. Makes me want to walk around a dance floor with my middle fingers up in the air and then get in a big bar-clearing fight. Unfortunately, despite the fact that Joe remains one of the tightest big money rappers out there, there isn't much else here to work with...

Forgive me father for I have sinned. It has been two weeks since my last confession. I have lusted in my heart and coveted another man's wife, and I mistakenly requested an album to review that was so boring that I passed it on to my girlfriend who has an care for this sort of music.Me: "I was hoping it was Gangsta, because Lean Back was Gangsta, but it's all just Jennifer Lopezy"She: "But that's why I like the album, because it is all Jennifer Lopezy"...

Along with Nas, Busta Rhymes, and a few chosen others, Fat Joe belongs to an exclusive cadre of MCs who sustain foundation and commercial relevance. With more than 10 solo outings and a slew of high-charting collaborations, he's delivered for the club and the curb, never losing respect from either of those fickle demographics. As a result, depending on whom you ask, his albums always suffer for one reason or another...

Once a fully paid-up member of legendary underground Hip Hop crew D.I.T.C. (Diggin' In The Crates) Fat Joe should, like all the other artists brought up in this prolific training ground, have credibility to spare and at least one bonafide classic LP to his name. Instead, he has a lot of lucrative J-Lo guest slots and a string of albums patchier than a pissed-on lawn...
