Fozzy Concert Tickets

Fozzy is a heavy metal band, fronted by professional wrestler Chris Jericho , and also including musicians from Stuck Mojo and on their recent album, guests from other established metal bands. Fozzy started out as Fozzy Osbourne, a cover band assembled by Rich Ward from whatever musicians he could find on a given week. In 1999, Jericho met Ward in San Antonio after a wrestling show, and was invited to play with the band. Fozzy Reviews

Avg. Customer Rating:

"There is fantastic material that can be spotted by avid listeners, but Fozzy has backed off from the potential that was all over 'Chasing The Grail' for something a little more widely commercial, and ultimately, disposable." After starting off as a cover band with alter egos and a complicated back story, Fozzy has made strides towards legitimacy...

I really don't know why everyone always feels the need to discuss the fact that Chris Jericho is a wrestler when they talk about Fozzy. Look at his partners-in-crime, Rich Ward and Frank Fontsere, who both played for Stuck Mojo; they were part of a nu-metal band, which is far more laughable than being a pro wrestler. Anyway, after 5 albums and several high profile tours, it's as clear as Randy Blythe's innocence that Fozzy are here to stay and [insert Jack Black's high-pitched squeal] rock...

Sound: So, it's the 5th album of Fozzy and its mind-blowing as hell. After great releases like "All That Remains" and "Chasing The Grail", they have created yet another one hell of an album. This is probably the most musically complete and after listening all the songs, you could see how they have matured, in terms of creating songs. If you're a fan of the 80's heavy metal and hard rock bands (Metallica, Iron Maiden, Def Leppard) you'll definitely love it...

Sound: Fozzy has a pure '80s metal and heavy metal sound. The solos are off the roof and the bass is played so extravagantly. The vocal melodis are sensational. The Duke's guitar riffs are amazing. How the hell does he and Jericho come up with this stuff. // 10 Lyrics and Singing: The lyrics are amazing. They are just undescrible, and the vocalist is soon to be one of the greatest frontmen ever. Chris Jericho's voice matches the hardcore guitar riffs and the power house drumming so unbelievably...

Released under the moniker 'Survival Pack' Fozzy combined the previously only digitally available 'Remains Alive' (2005) with latest album 'Chasing The Grail' (2010) and this for a great price. The only problem with this pack is the difference in quality. I have to say that 'Chasing The Grail' is a nice enough little metal-album. When in a studio environment the band is at its best because, face it, Chris Jericho might be a great wrestler, a good singer he isn't...

Fozzy might be familiar mostly because of their magnetic frontman, Chris Jericho, who is a revered professional wrestler (or should I call him a Superstar?) known for his prolonged stints in WCW and WWE â?" but it would be wrong to evaluate this heavy metal band based purely on Jerichoâ??s work inside the squared circle, because, in actual fact, Fozzy donâ??t need to piggyback on their vocalistâ??s high profile to demonstrate how good they actually are...

After churning out two albums of covers and a few original songs â??All That Remainsâ?? is the third album from pro-wrestler Chris Jericho and co, and their first to be completely made up of original material. If opening track â??Namelessâ?? is meant to set the scene for the album then you wonâ??t be forgiven for not bothering to listen to the rest of it...

OK, so first things first, itâ??s hard to take the notion of a professional wrestler fronting a band seriously but I am assured by the highest of sources (ha!) that Fozzy are the real deal and the fact theyâ??ve been around now for a good few years is reassuring to the more serious of reviewers.Anyway, I digress and the first thing that hits me is how much this sounds like solo Ozzy records which is a good thing, albeit with a modern edge (think Black Label Society)...

Maybe now the heavy metal gods and earthly gurus will take WWE wrestler Chris Jericho's Fozzy more seriously with their fourth album, Chasing the Grail. But I've been wrong before. Despite his love for all things classic metal, Chris Jericho and Fozzy have always seemed to be considered a novelty riding the coat tails of his "superstar" wrestling fame, or not. There may be too many contradictions here...
