Sound: This album is what is normaly considered as the 'classic' Incubus sound; crunching guitars, brilliant vocals and all laced with some turntable kung-fu. The genre is impossible to explain, and any attempt would require to many forward slashes as to be unreadable/incomprehensible. It is so unlike anything else out there, which is strange when you consider just how good it is. It would be a lie to say that this is an album without flaws though...

Sound: After hearing some bad mouthing of this album going down, I thought I'd give you all my opinion on A Crow Left of the Murder. ACLOTM is the best album of 2004. Hands down. It's some of the only fresh music out there. I don't konw how to describe it besides, wow. It doesn't fit into any genre, but has relations to progressive (which is almost dead) and alternative. Every member of the band are great at what they do. Mike is just incredible...

Sound: The five piece California-based band has been one distinct entity in an age of trend-whores and faceless "musicians" jumping on bandwagons. After being in the band for virtually 18 years, starting out as a high school band, Incubus is one band that has definitely "made it". Sound: Incubus has evolved into a more mature band with every album, but this is where they turn toward the more melodic songs. This album is so diverse. Make Yourself cannot be put into any category. It was the perfect example of a great rock album. It contains a DJ battle (Battlestar Scralatchitica), an acoustic radio hit (Drive), a TurnTabled Hard Rock hit (Pardon Me) along with some great love songs scattered about. Sound: You do not have to be a hardcore incubus fan to enjoy this cd! Not the greatest sound quality, but it's still more then ok to listen to. Whoever said bass isnt heard much on this CD is an idiot. This CD is a Funk metal cd, bass is the center instrument. Some great guitar work can be found on this album on top of the outstanding bass. Drums may not wow you but are still very solid...

Sound: The band took a somewhat different route on this album. they went to Malibu & lived in a house there near the beach. This is probably why "Morning View" has a very beach oriented sound. The sound is very inspiring & at times very relaxed & laid back. Although there is nothing innovative in this album, it is still very interesting to listen to.
