Sound: Right, being a big Manowar fan I must admit that on this album the recording is not as up to scratch as it should be. Sometimes there seems to be a high pitched beep, which has something to do with the recording. Apart from that manowar are on form! Some of their songs seem to be a bit faster on this album then on the previous album (Into Glory Ride). They seem to be more balls out this time, with intensly fast sometimes blusy solos from Ross The Boss...

Sound: Manowar has always been one of my favorite bands. This CD is one of the best Manowar albums I have. The album starts by the song "All Men Play on 10" that is some kind of rap metal. It's maybe the worst song on this album. Second track, "Animals" is punk-like song and it sounds good. After these two first tracks begins power metal section. "Thor (The Powerhead)", "Mountains", title track "Sign of the Hammer" and "The Oath" are one of the earliest power metal songs ever...
