"Yeah... and if you understand and you remember this, then you know what's goin' on. And if you don't know 'Make 'Em Say Ugh', then that was before your time and you really don't know what's happening. I mean, nothing come to a sleeper but a dream. Follow what you do, be unique, set a trend. That's where the record business moved from, the past to the present, you feel me...

Where you at whodi? Somebody forgot to update the page whodi! If you checked out No Limit's site recently (probably not, it's kind of boring and obviously out of date) you might see that Mystikal still has his own page. Master P certainly doesn't seem to think he's down since leaving though. He doesn't mention the gruff-voiced one by name but he certainly seems to be calling him out at least twice on the album...

Officially, the "P" in Master P does not stand for Promotion, but one wouldfind it hard to believe when looking at his recent Snickers ad or flippingthrough the liner notes of a No Limit Records release during the mid to late1990's. I would say that at least 75% of the packaging for any given albumwas dedicated to advertising upcoming albums. While this type of marketingwasn't necessarily new, the extent to which No Limit did it was unseen atthe time...

If you can't give Master P credit for anything else, you have to at least acknowledge his longevity. After 14 years in the rap game and twelve records under his own name, Percy Miller is not only one of rap's most venerable artists but one of it's most prolific...

The "Good Side" is 35 minutes long, plus one second. The "Bad Side" is 40 minutes long, plus 45 seconds. Grand total? 75 minutes, 46 seconds. This might normally be trivial information to impart at a review's start, but in this case it proves that the "double disc" CD release has become more hype than substance. Given that a normal CD release can top out at 74 minutes without using any gimmicks or tricks, all Master P needed to do was cut just one "Commercial" skit to meet the limit...

Master P explains what's going on best with this record himself in the "Intro," so I'ma let him do the talking. Mr. Percy Miller, please tell all your fans and the RapReviews.com audience what the concept is, because we're dying to know whether this is "Greatest Hits" or "ReMixes."Master P: "Yeahhh. I know y'all been waitin' on this _Greatest Hits_ a long time. But I decided to give y'all somethin' a lil' different...

Before Master P became the much-maligned, often-satirised lampoon that he is today, he was the owner of a veritable empire- one built on the seminal N'Awlins thump of gladiators like Mac, Soulja Slim and Mystikal...

This review won't be the longest you've ever read at RapReviews, but don't trip on that. It turns out it's ridiculously easy to explain what this album is about with one simple reference. One week ago on October 4th, this website ran a review of Master P's "Greatest Hits - ReMix Classics." It turned out the latter half of the title was more important than the former...
