Let me start everything off by being completely honest and upfront with everyone. I've been listening to MxPx since 1995 and they have been my favorite band since 1996. I have all of their albums, EPs, compilations they released a special song on, and a lot of vinyl. That being said, I promise I went into this review with the same view as any other. So, there's my disclaimer...

Punkers MxPx have been going for 20 years now. Just for this amazing feat alone, they deserve all the respect in the world. Defying trends and the constant downward spiral of the music industry, they're still here and jamming the music they want to jam. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that their ninth studio album, Plans within Plans, hardly shifts a foot away from their brand of pop punk...

Back in the year 2000, the members of MxPx had Life in General and Slowly Going the Way of the Buffalo under their belts and they were just about to put out The Ever Passing Moment. It Came from Bremerton was released during the height of their popularity, and it ticks all the boxes for a band's first film: stories of how the band formed, home video footage, anecdotes about how songs were written, etc...

Sound: Its MxPx that's all I have to say j/k. Their sound is awesome but I kinda don't like the songs they do that our older because they don't sound as good. But they do have numerous good songs on there. Although in some songs the song is too fast for Mike and you don't know what he's saying they just still make the songs awesome. Obviously they have Punk Rawk Show but I kinda like th original better...

Sound: Let's Rock, the latest release from pop punk band MXPX is one that the dedicated fans of the veteran band will undoubtedly eat up. While it is not a full-length release, the collection of unreleased tracks and B-Sides is one that has enough catchy tunes that general listeners will find appealing. While the band is not necessarily the rawest form of punk around these days, it does have a way of writing memorable and likeable songs...

Sound: MXPX, one of the most prolific pop-punk bands out on the scene today, is set to release yet another studio album, which marks the first time in about a decade the band has returned to its original label Tooth & Nail. Their latest CD Secret Weapon has plenty of peaks and valleys among the 16 tracks, but it is refreshing to hear the pop-punk band still exploring a variety of styles and rhythms...

Sound: This cd has suddenly taken a change from the classic Mxpx style. I'm sure many people will say that Mxpx have "sold out", and judging by what Blink 182 did when people said they "sold out", Mxpx has indeed "sold out". But I love this cd. Partially because I think that so-called Pop punk is quite good unless it's Good Charlotte, but also because Mxpx has seemed to mature in their music quality quite a bit. The music combines superb riffs with quite a combination of different sounds...

Sound: This is one of the best MxPx CDs around. It it just as good as Life In General, which I think is the best CD MxPx has ever made until now. It's good punk with some heavier songs than what MxPx plays. // 10 Lyrics and Singing: The lyrics are great, "Wrecking Hotel Rooms" is the best song on this CD. It has Mark Hoppus from Blink 182 and Plus-44 doing back up vocals. All the songs fit with the voice of Mike Herrera. // 10 Impression: It is one of the best CDs around. Buy it ASAP. // 10

MxPx has been a pivotal band in the punk rock world for 20 years now, and after a five-year hiatus between full-length albums, has come out of the blue to unleash a phenomenal ninth studio album, titled Plans Within Plans. There have been many criticisms leveled against MxPx over the years. Everything from the band's Christian background to Mike Herrera's seemingly juvenile level of songwriting has been the subject of much debate among punk rock fans...
