Piebald Concert Tickets

Piebald was an indie/punk band formed in 1994 in Andover, Massachusetts. Piebald started as a hardcore band in the same scene that produced legends Converge but later moved to the Boston suburb of Somerville and became a staple of the Greater Boston indie rock scene. Two members still live in the Boston area, while the other two now live in Los Angeles. Check our available Piebald concert ticket inventory and get your tickets here at ConcertBank now. On this, their fourth release, Piebald's All/Descendants-inspired punk pop (competent, overly familiar) has been mashed together with the vision of producer Paul Q. Kolderie, who has twiddled knobs for the more visionary Radiohead and The Pixies. The result for the Boston band? An even dozen tracks with no surprises whatsoever, plus three instrumental interludes that sound as if they came from another album entirely.Piebald w/ The Jealous Sound Wednesday, May 26, 6:30 p.m., $12, Club SAW

Piebald's dorky, simple melodic rock isn't necessarily my cup of tea, but Killa Bros (the DVD) deserves killa praise because it's short, sweet and amiable. Piebald are among that most rare of bands - the ones who say they don't take themselves seriously and really mean that. As a result, this DVD of hilarities, tour shenanigans and well-cut studio sessions/live performances is a treat to watch, even if the music is nothing special...

Sound: It's nice to know there are still bands out there that have not seen fit to "mature" and over-produce their albums, just because they've been in the business 10-plus years. Case in point: Piebald. Since the Massachusetts band made its way on the scene in the mid-'90s, Piebald has maintained a popular cult status with its raw, quirky, indie rock tunes and its latest album Accidental Gentlemen will ensure that fans stay satisfied...

I'm loath to admit that I'm not an old-school Piebald fan. That is, I wasn't enough of an indie dork to pick up on them back when Venetian Blinds was released. I only really discovered them with 2002's We Are The Only Friends We Have, at which point I went out and bought their entire back catalog and fell hopelessly in love with Grace Kelly. Piebald fans will know of whence I speak...

Piebald's The Rock Revolution Will Not Be Televised The Promise Ring's Very Emergency Reggie And The Full Effect's Songs Not To Get Married To IM SESSION with frontman TRAVIS SHETTEL Explain the title Accidental Gentlemen. It's kind of just how we feel about our lives and the way this record came about. It also just sounds nice. It has a good ring to it. This record was very much spur of the moment and created on the spot...

I was first drawn to Piebald by the fantastic Gadjits-like title of their last LP. I mean, who could refuse a musical offer as intriguingly titled as If it Weren't for Venetian Blinds, It Would be Curtains for Us All? And as an extra-added bonus, the music on the album was just as good as the title. Hell, its opener the beautifully cathartic "Grace Kelly with Wings" alone is worth the price of admission...

"And how can we judge if your summer was better than mine?/ And how can we tell if the moment is in its prime?" queries the Piebald tune "Present Tense," before switching over to a chorus-line-esque rollicking beat. And my mind wandered: "Man, a full time job, classes (summer school!), no car! If I were in high school, this summer would blow!" But the thing is, I'm in college...

I don't like it any more than you do. For one reason or another, the massive, ugly beast called The Middle just gets the best of us. For the most part, music is not sacrosanct. Yes, there are a few resilient souls -- Bob Dylan seems to have found a rare ladder when The Middle started coming in his direction...

Provided it hasn't already started, let's call an official start to the Summer Music Season with the release of All Ears, All Eyes, All the Time, the latest from good-time pop-punkers Piebald. (And to our friends in Australia and all points sub-equatorial: Happy Winter Music Season!) It's obvious to anyone who doesn't live in a cave, but it's worth nothing anyways: Summertime demands (demands...
