"Spin It Again! Live in Munich" is an excellent double live album (DVD and Blu-ray Disc) that captures the final night of Saga's 2013 sold-out tour in Germany, following the release of their critically acclaimed "20/20" album, which marked the return of Michael Sadler. If this new release proves one thing: it's the fact that only Sadler can be the frontman of Saga. He's in 'optima forma' and so is the rest of the band, performing a fine selection of old and new material...

Track review of "Anywhere You Wanna Go" 20/20 marks the popular Canadian ensemble's 20th release. Here, original vocalist Michael Sadler rejoins the unit, and adds melodious overtones to its stylish, cross-functional melding of pop-rock, progressive rock and progressive metal. Enamored by a first-rate production and a largely memorable track mix, the artists go for the gusto, synchronizing technical veracity with surging rock anthems...

I always have difficulties when first hearing a Saga album, and it usually takes some time to decide whether I like it or not. That often arrives when their next one does and I can measure the former against the latter, which is not an ideal way of doing things. You'd much rather be looking at an upward trajectory than this constant state of validation. I came to the conclusion that their best album was Network, but only after I heard Trust, and so forth...

On January 28, 2011 it was officially announced that Michael Sadler had returned as the lead vocalist of Saga and that there were plans for the recording of a brand-new studio album. That one was originally expected in the fall of last year, but that was obviously a bit too optimistic. This February drummer Brian Doerner left the band, but the good news is that the new album, called "20/20", is now finally ready for release, through earMUSIC on July 6...

This is cult Swedish heavy progressive rock group Saga's super rare lone album released back in 1974. Saga was formed by members of the heavy psych/prog band November who released two brilliant albums before disbanding in 1973. Saga are not as famous as November but musically stay one step ahead, with their rich blend of prog/fusion, heavy acid blues and dark folk-rock, making this a must-have in any collection of '70s proto-metal and prog-rock as well...

No other Saga album scored higher in the Canadian charts than "Heads Or Tales", the band's fifth studio album, which was produced by Rupert Hine and released by Portrait Records in 1983. It peaked at #17 and 'produced' two hit singles: "The Flyer" and "Scratching The Surface". At the time we found Michael Sadler behind the mike, but he left the band in 2008 and was replaced by Rob Moratti, with whom the band recorded one studio album, 2009's "The Human Condition"...

"One of the most memorable, palatable, and accessible prog albums of this decade - An instant sing-along classic." Canada's Saga have traced a long path through time. Debuting in 1971 and still making albums after a break-up that spanned two decades, Saga has placed themselves at the forefront of the traditional progressive scene, both in rock and metal, with "The Human Condition...

For many American listeners, constant Canadian prog rockers Saga have always stood on the fringe of recognition. They have always received greater acknowledgment and praise within their own country and overseas. Yet, I have a vague, but good, recollection of their 1978 debut from my college days. Now working in their 30th year, Saga return with a new album, The Human Condition, and a new singer, Rob Moratti. Mr...
