Receiving this advance copy of Simone Dinnerstein's new CD was something of a revelation to me. The interpretations of the Bach Partitas show an intricacy of touch and strange beauty which was present in her first CD dedicated entirely to Bach but which goes the extra mile here. The same could be said for Dinnerstein's superb playing of the Schubert Impromptus which are perennially difficult works to pull off...
