We all know who Tobymac is: one of the original DC Talk fellas who made Christian music cooler than the other side of the pillow. Since then, he has released a slew of solo joints and a perhaps a few too many remix albums. I don't blame the dude for being overly creative, I just wonder how many times an artist can throw in some new beats over the same lyrics and still make good tunes. So how does his third remix effort, Dubbed & Freq'd - A Remix Project, compare to his previous installments...

No matter how much one discusses the members of dc Talk individually, the conversation all eventually reverts back to their first project together as a trio. While longtime fans continue to revel in their finest days, Michael Tait, Kevin Max, and Toby McKeehan all continue to be prolific in the scene...

Buy 'Eye On It' at: ?This is the fifth studio album from TobyMac. Eye On It has already been touted at his best album to date and after a few listens I can't see much wrong with it. I personally think it's his most complete album, it feels like every track is as good as the one before. But more about that later...

TobyMac is one of Christian music's most popular artists in the Christian music industry right now, alongside veterans like Chris Tomlin, Third Day, Steven Curtis Chapman and Casting Crowns; as well as relative newcomers Francesca Battistelli, Tenth Avenue North and Kerrie Roberts...

Sound: The sound is very much like the previous CD, but if you have never heard the previous one, it is a cool sounding CD. There are songs on there that can get me pumped (such as "Boomin") and songs that I can easily listen to (such as "Lose my Soul"), so there is a real range in the style. TobyMac is very unique in his own, making the CD even more incredible. There are also some special guests on the CD, including Kirk Franklin and Mandisa, showing Toby's love for the gospel scene...

Buy 'Dubbed & Freq'd: A Remix Project' at: Back with his first remix album in seven years, TobyMac releases 'Dubbed & Freq'd: A Remix Project'. The album is basically new remixes of some of TobyMac's biggest songs from his latest albums 'Tonight' and 'Portable Sounds'...

It's the most wonderful time of the year folks: Christmas time! It might only be October and the cool air is just now starting to breeze its way into our hemisphere but it's all setting up for Christmas. Joining in with the holiday spirit this year is legendary artist TobyMac and his friends in Diverse City. Along with Toby's stamp of approval, he sets very high expectations for listeners. Nevertheless, we are definitely given an inside look into the season with Christmas in Diverse City...

Buy 'Christmas In Diverse City' at: Last year TobyMac released his fourth studio album, 'Tonight' and is currently working on the follow up, so what better thing to do with your spare moments in-between recording a new album than to get back in the studio and produce your own Christmas album...

(iTunes LINK)(Amazonmp3 LINK)(Spotify LINK) To say that I've followed Tobymac's career for awhile might be an understatement. Not only did I see him back in his DC Talk days on one of the Jesus Freak tours, but I had Nu Thang and Free At Last on cassette (sorry, but even as a youngster I knew not to touch their self-titled album after one listen to my best friend's copy)...
