Dave Matthews Band Concert Tickets

Dave Matthews Band was formed in Charlottesville, VA in 1991 by South African native singer and guitarist Dave Matthews, bassist Stefan Lessard, the late LeRoi Moore, who played a wide variety of instruments from the saxophone to the flute, violin player Boyd Tinsley, drummer Carter Beauford, and keyboardist Peter Griesar (who left the band in 1993), all of whom Dave met in Charlottesville. In 1998, the band played shows with keyboardist Butch Taylor, although he was not officially a member of the band. Dave Matthews Band Reviews

I've been a Dave Matthews Band fan since I heard "Ants Marching" and bought the album Under the Table and Dreaming when I was 14. I watched them win their first Grammy (for "So Much to Say"), celebrated the devilishly brilliant Before These Crowded Streets, followed them through the whole Glen Ballard fiasco (the making of Everyday), get bogged down for about a decade and then re-emerge two years ago with Big Whiskey and the Groo Grux King...

Sound: "Away From The World" marks the Dave Matthews Band's 8th studio album and follows up their critically acclaimed "Big Whiskey And The GooGrux King". Although fans may argue with the decision to reteam with Steve Lillywhite, DMB headed back into the studio with the famed producer for the first time since, the now infamous, "Lillywhite Sessions" were scrapped back in 2000...

Release Date: Sept. 11, 2012 This was supposed to be the big one. After all his success with Crash, Before These Crowded Streets and Under the Table and Dreaming, famed producer Steve Lilywhite was finally back on board to produce a DMB album. And unlike the now-historic Lilywhite Sessions, which later morphed into Busted Stuff, this album wouldn't be leaked to the world. And yet, here it is, 2012, and Lilywhite is back. But unlike most reunions, this one is a little murky...

Dave Matthews is one of rock's most underrated Pretty Complex Dudes - as horny as Lil Wayne, as troubled as Thom Yorke, able to growl "war is the most vulgar madness" like the American Sting he's always sort of been. He's got a beige-Baja-shirt rep and a black-turtleneck soul...

RCA Dave Matthews has always been the biggest question mark in his own band. Dave Matthews Band have one of the most rabid, loyal fan bases in popular music, but those who hate them really hate them, and most of that ill will is directed toward the frontman's peculiar vocal delivery and drunken poetry...

Sound: The Dave Matthews Band is one of the greatest bands to ever hit the music scene. They've always been known for their signature sound and lengthy jam sessions. Both are shown extremely well on "Before These Crowded Streets." Their sound and the group themselves are so incredibly tight and fine-tuned on the record and it has the energy of one of their infamous live shows...

Sound: The DMBs new album, Stand Up, will make you want to do just that. From start to finish the sound on this CD is never lacking. The way the band incorporates so many instruments into one song gives each track its own unique organic sound. For instance, in the song "Stand Up" they mix the saxophone with the catchy electric guitar riff that makes it feel uplifting and staisfying to listen to. Also, with their unique sound the DMB bring back their classy jazz tone and motown feel...

How many effects pedals can Tim Reynolds fit onto a stage? How close can he get those sounds to those of an electronic synthesizer, violin, or cello? How important are the rest of those guys who methodically sprinkle their talents through each and every Dave Matthews Band record? And, my God. How many versions of "Two Step" can a listener take...

Sound: Dave and Tim (Reynolds) really shine in this concert. They are, in my opinion, musical geniuses. It is just the two of them playing for over two hours (2 full-length CDs), which is an excellent measure of their true talent. Style is acoustic, alternative, classical rock. // 10 Lyrics and Singing: Any Dave Matthews fan knows that his lyrics have real meaning. 23 songs, each with excellent, meaningful lyrics show that Dave is not only an amazing musician, but a great songwriter as well...
