There seems to be somewhat of a hype surrounding this Melbourne four-piece. And maybe a three track EP may not be enough evidence upon which to base a judgement as to whether it's justified, but to these ears they're not quite there.

This Australian band's debut album is an expansive set of cosmic soul inflected with jazz, hip hop, various electronic styles and more, with imaginative arrangements featuring tricky time signatures, skittering beats, twinkling keyboards, smooth guitars, ambient samples and slinky lead vocals. (The album was released last year in Australia with limited distribution - it's now being released in the US for the first time.) 8/16/2013
