The first big hit off their 1984 debut was 'New Girl Now,' reaching #57. Later, in 1986 off 'The Big Prize,' they scored a hit with 'Feel It Again' which rose to #34 on the charts...

Like Journey's Escape, Big Prize is a choice piece of mall rock. Crisply produced by fellow Canadian Bruce Fairbairn, who went on to greener pastures with Bon Jovi and Aerosmith, the album benefits from one of the greatest kickoffs in history with "Bad Attitude." Drums and keyboards date '80s rock, but "Bad Attitude" adroitly weaves 'em together for a dreamy bridge, before principal songwriter and guitarist Derry Grehan erupts with cascading fretboard fireworks...

Honeymoon Suite's inaugural self-titled album is an honest attempt at straightforward, power pop, and for the most part they deliver the goods. Rough around the edges and striated with keyboards, much of this album contains hardened guitar work painted with up-tempo choruses that hold their own. "New Girl Now" is a pleasing opener full of bluster and bite, with the help of the guitar-driven melody. "Burning in Love" sounds a wee bit empty, but the piercing synthesizer keeps it alive...
