It's been a huge year for Matt Corby. With 'Brother' taking over airwaves everywhere, sold out shows and secret garden gigs, Corby proved if you have the raw talent and dedication it is possible to shake off the Australian Idol tag and pave your own way. Into the Flame is a frighteningly sincere EP for a man only in his early 20s. The opening song Brother is its strongest track and possibly Corby's best release to date. It's hard to avoid singing along to the soulful vocals and growling chorus and at times it seems inspired by fellow Aussies Cloud Control. Perhaps only its length will limit its possibilities as a radio hit. The rest of EP sadly lacks the same pace and energy, though it is still very powerful...
