Seems like just yesterday that little girls’ hearts were going all aflutter (and @Twitter) over the boy band heartthrob band One Direction, affectionately referred to as 1D. Fan flames are fleeting, though. Even staid business news stalwart Forbes.com has noticed, noting just a few weeks ago that 1D concert ticket prices on the secondary market are dropping as 5 Seconds of Summer tour tickets take off.
It’s all kind of ironic, since 5SOS actually started getting attention opening for 1D on their own Where We Are summer tour, and fans still have a chance to catch 5SOS in the last few shows of that tour before the Aussie boy band starts its mini practice tour in the fall. The real action will be next summer, though, when 5 Seconds of Summer’s “Rock Out with Your Socks Out” tour takes off with shows in 30 cities across the U.S. and Canada.

Tickets for those shows go on sale starting Aug 9 – and if you want to see the inheritors of One Direction’s boy band crown in action, you’d better get those tickets while they’re hot. According to the Wall Street Journal – yeah, these boys are even making news in the WSJ – 5SOS sold out their first-ever headlining show (Nov 15 at The Forum in LA) in minutes and had to add a second show to accommodate the fans as well as two shows at the AK-Chin Pavilion in Phoenix AZ on November 13. At Concert Bank, we have tix for those shows, which go on sale Aug 9, and they’ll sell out just as fast as all the other shows.

Check out our listings of 5 Seconds of Summer tour tickets, including the “Rock Out with Your Socks Out” tour for Summer 2015 starting Saturday August 9. The tour kicks off with a July 17 show at the Mandelay Bay Event Center in Las Vegas before swinging through California and up into Canada for shows in Vancouver, Edmonton and Winnipeg. They’ll be back in the States for shows in Minnesota on July 31, at which point the tour will bring the hot boy band down through Illinois, Kentucky and Texas, out through the Midwest and up into the Northeast corner of the country for shows in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York and New Jersey toward the end of August. The tour rounds out with shows in Virginia Beach, North Carolina and Florida ending with a tour finale in West Palm Beach FL on September 13 2015.
