If you’re a Robert Plant fan, and who isn’t, you should know that he and his fabulous band, the Sensational Space Shifters will be at the Santa Barbara Bowl this spring, but only for one night. The rock legend and his band will have just kicked off their North American tour the previous Sunday at the Sasquatch! Festival in George, VA. The tour will end on June 17 at the Mann Center in Philadelphia.

In fact, his newest album lullaby and … The Ceaseless Roar has been recently nominated for the Cross-Cultural Collaboration of the Year. Plants new album features eleven new songs, and nine of those songs were written by Plant and his new band.
In addition to that award, the album, which was released in September by Nonesuch/Warner Bros. Records, was named one of NPR’s top 50 albums of the year. The reviewer on NPR said that Plant, at age 66, is still a majestic rock presence who has synthesized his hard-rock legacy of Led Zeppelin days and his highly creative and inspired solo work. lullaby and … The Ceaseless Roar is the 66-year old singer’s 10th solo album.
The New Band
According to Plant, lullaby… The Ceaseless Roar is powerful, gritty, African Trance meets Zep. He will be joined on stage by the Sensational Space Shifters, citing them as a group that comes from exciting areas of contemporary music. The band members include Justin Adams: bendirs, djembe, guitars, tehardant, background vocals; John Baggott: keyboards, loops, moog bass, piano, tabal, background vocals; Juldeh Camara: kologo, ritti, Fulani vocals; Billy Fuller: bass, drum programming, omnichord, upright bass; Dave Smith: drum set; and Liam “Skin” Tyson: banjo, guitar, background vocals.
In addition to touring in support of the album, Nonesuch/Warner Bros. Records will also be releasing a Record Store Day exclusive EP by Plant and the Sensational Space Shifters, More Roar, which will feature three tracks recorded live during the group’s World Tour 2014 last year. The EP will be limited to 10,000 copies, making it one of the hottest Robert Plant tickets to date.
